This year’s Teacher Appreciation Week was one for the books, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our incredible parents! A HUGE THANK YOU to Mika Holman, Breanne Bush, Jana Eliason, Jackie and Erik Sherwood, Tory Crowder, Sarah Thompson, Alyson Musetti, Christine Camilleri, Sara Allen, Johanna Ramos, Julie Wolter, Julie Ratiani, Becky Widen, Andrea Quartarolo, Katrina Corr, Kelley Tobin, Jessica Donsky, Nancy Anderson. We have our final PTO meeting of the year on Monday 5/22 at 6:00 in the staff lounge! We will be voting in a new Treasurer and going over the end of year and also talking about the start of next year. Come and join us to end this year with a bang! As a reminder, our meeting notes are posted on the school website under the PTO tab if you can’t make the meetings but want to be in the know.

Thank you to all of the volunteers for Field Day, we will be sending out an email with more information in the coming week or so to those who signed up. Lastly, We are trying something new for next year… supply boxes! This is an easy way to ensure your children have just what the teachers have requested. It is easy to purchase and the boxes get delivered straight to the school. This saves you time and makes supply purchasing a breeze. Click on the link to order for next school year! Supply boxes

A ‘NOTE’ FROM THE MUSIC TEACHER
Bravo to all the student musicians who played for Music Appreciation Day last Saturday at the LBC Farmer’s Market!

Students from the four district schools showed up, listened to each other, and played music together, having never rehearsed even once together as a full group beforehand. Playing outdoors also presents unique challenges – e.g. wind, sun, and heat – but the students managed all these challenges with grace and professionalism! Bravissimo! And a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our student musicians. We couldn’t do it without you!

Don’t forget – all 4th-6th music students have one more performance coming up next week! Parents are welcome to attend, but please be sure to check in at your school’s office as a visitor as the performance times are during the school day. (There are no evening performances.) Please help your child remember their instrument (and return any books!) on the following day: San Miguel – Monday, May 20 – music assembly at 11:00

Borrowed instruments and materials must be returned immediately following the above performances, so please do NOT forget them on these days. Thank you!
– Mrs. Kaufman
