LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL

May 7, 2021

Dear Families,
Another great week in the books. The students are doing very well. Thanks to all of you who participated in Teacher Appreciation Week. I know staff really appreciated it. Be sure to put Bingo Night on your calendar, Thursday May 20. Have a wonderful weekend.
Warm regards,
Patrick Eagle

TRAFFIC UPDATE
Arriving early does not help our situation; it helps to arrive after your child has been dismissed. If a staff member asks you to move ahead, please do so. Don’t forget you may use the back of the school for pick up and drop off. As always, thanks for your cooperation.

CONSERVE WATER – DO YOUR PART
Drought is here. Save water! The Mark West Union School District has reduced outdoor irrigation by 60 percent to help save water. You, too, can help save water at home. Here are some tips: Reduce outdoor irrigation by one day a week or more; fix those leaks now; turn off the faucet when brushing teeth; use a car wash that recycles its water or just keep your car dirty! Please visit www.savingwaterpartnership.org for water saving tips and stay updated on drought conditions at sonomawater.org/drought.

ZOOM BINGO 5/20/21
Bingo night will be Thursday, May 20th, starting at 5:30. We’ll be sending Bingo cards home. This promises to be fun for the whole family! A Zoom link will be sent out soon.

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, MAY 21
Friday, May 21, is a staff development / non-student day. There will be NO SCHOOL for any grade level. Teachers will be working in their classrooms.

PTO UPDATE
Our LAST PTO meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, May 19th, via Zoom, 6 – 7 pm. Here is the link: 859 8127 5880 , or click here, passcode: PTO. We are looking to fill the President, Vice President and Secretary roles as our current board members have already served their 2 years. Soooo, if you are interested PLEASE reach out to the PTO! All 3 board members are working moms and were able to do both, so don’t let work deter you from being a part of enriching your child’s experience. nicole@bravorestoration.com

A huge thank you to Breanne Bush for coordinating and organizing the teachers appreciation week. She is truly an amazing individual who does so much for our teachers and kids. We are grateful for all that she does.

FROM YOUR MUSIC TEACHER
Greetings! I am so excited to share with you all the 2021 Virtual Concert, featuring 4th-8th-grade music students in the Mark West District. Although putting this together was an incredibly time-intensive process, it was all worth it to me when I heard the students’ voices and instruments playing together. It is a sound that I have missed all year. A HUGE THANK YOU to all the students who participated! I am so incredibly proud of you all!

Please enjoy!
